When moms belong, beautiful things happen!

Sarah Ferraro believes that when moms belong, beautiful things happen. Mentoring and equipping women to find real connection and live into their truest identities is one of her greatest joys. As the Membership Manager for MOPS International, she witnesses first-hand how involvement in a community of moms makes the church come alive in a woman’s daily parenting, work, and rest. When she’s not pursuing these passions professionally, she’s living them out personally on her own journey as a homeschooling mother of three and wife to her husband of 16 years. You might find Sarah refueling on a jog, but it won’t be long before she’s back to her people – rallying for a family game night, or encouraging friends over dinner and a good conversation. She takes her coffee with extra French vanilla creamer, and her long days with extra grace.

Work With Sarah

MOPS Groups

Sarah has attended a MOPS local group for fourteen years and has lead a group for ten of those. For the last three years she’s been on staff for MOPS International as their Membership Manager. She eats, breathes, and speaks all things MOPS, and her passion for new moms finding their stride (and their people!) has only grown. Sarah feels the most in line with her calling when she’s speaking to and spending time with other women, inspiring them to feel purposed, beloved and seen.

Workshops

Book Sarah for one of your conference workshops and you’ll get practical content from a mom who’s been in the trenches and lived to tell about it. She will leave your women feeling like they don’t have to just survive motherhood, they can thrive in it, too. She will bring fresh energy and inspiring content for each mom that attends.

Women’s or Leaders Retreats

Sarah believes in the importance of women having space and rest. Women’s retreats are a time for women to get away to breathe, learn and feel seen. Sarah’s sensitivity to the needs of new and seasoned moms makes her an inspiring and gentle presence in this environment. She can speak and instruct on topics that renew the mind and refresh the spirit.

If you’re having a leaders retreat, Sarah can also come and speak into leadership ideas and provide valuable encouraging content to help bond your team and set them up for success.

Speaking Topics

  • It’s safe to say life has felt like a roller coaster over the last few years, and many of us are ready to get off the ride! We strive for excellence but then often never reach it, and this makes perfectly good progress feel like failure. The good news is we are given the gift to reset, right where we are. We don’t have to wait for a new year or even a new day to begin again, and we certainly don’t have to pass go or wait for our next turn! We can expect to stumble, and then decide to keep moving forward right away. Join Sarah as she helps you figure out areas in your life where you might need to reset your mind, body and soul. She will help you find the love and the lessons in your failures, and learn to set realistic expectations in the first place. You’ll get the tools to dig deep, face hard truths, and then propel forward and reset on the path God intended without losing any momentum. This year will not be defined by fear, failure, disappointment or defeat. We will RESET and learn to fall forward, into His freedom, joy, love, and growth.

  • In this powerhouse presentation, Sarah uses her life story to parallel the Gospel story. Whether you’re a new believer, have been walking with God your whole life, or aren’t sure about this Jesus thing you’ll enjoy listening to this heartfelt account and the freedom she experienced when she let God’s grace cover what she thought was only her waste. You won’t hear a lot of church talk, but you will hear the over-arching story of a woman pursued by Christ, and renewed in plan and purposed by His power! If you’re moved by strong women and big feelings, you won’t want to miss this story of a woman who turned away from fear and failure, and toward her bigger purpose and passion of helping other women.

  • Motherhood is pitched to us to be one of the most joyful and blissful things to happen to women. And sometimes it really is. But sometimes it’s isolating, painful, confusing or just plain hard. We have to normalize these feelings and process them together so that they don’t turn into silent shame or hidden guilt. Sarah steps lovingly into this vulnerable space with us, so we can hear her when she calls out the lies that we thought were only in our head. Then, she speaks loud, faith-forward truth over motherhood, the kind that helps women find a healthier headspace and create their own self-talk to use on a regular basis.

  • Do you find yourself thinking about what you’re going to say next when you’re supposed to be listening to the other person? Or do you easily get distracted and need the reminder that we give to kids about listening with their eyes AND their ears? Maybe you need help with something called “active listening.” In this talk, Sarah dives into the key concepts found in Adam McHugh’s book, “The Listening Life” and gives us practical take-aways for becoming better listeners so that we can thrive in the often very noisy life of motherhood. This is a straightforward and practical talk suitable for all audiences.

This is a powerful talk that can be geared towards all different audiences. Sarah takes a practical and meaningful look at the art of listening that it is truly eye opening. We all often think we are good listeners. But there is a difference between listening and active listening.

  • Are you curious if homeschooling is the route you want to take for your kiddos? What is homeschooling anyway? Do you teach your own curriculum? Do you outsource? Can I work and homeschool? How do I choose books? What are hybrids? Homeschooling post pandemic has taken on a whole new meaning and there are almost too many resources to list. Sarah will come and share her personal experience with homeschooling and try to demystify it and explain the basic options and how they look on a daily basis. She certainly doesn’t have all the answers but that’s the beauty of homeschool – you can build the life of learning that works for you and your family! Come listen to Sarah share how she has been able to design a learning environment that works best for her family. This talk always concludes with a time of questions and answers to customize the information for the current needs of your group.

  • Do you ever have adolescent flashbacks when trying to make new friends as an adult? Don’t worry you’re not alone, and you haven’t gotten worse at making friends. The whole process gets harder as our lives expand and grow. This year at MOPS our theme for the year is, We Go Together. God designed us for relationships. Sarah will share some practical and meaningful tips you can implement to not only find friends, but also navigate the inevitable conflict and difficulties of adult friendship in a healthy way. None of us were designed to do this mothering gig alone. Friendships are essential and the sooner we are able to be the kind of friend we want to have, the quicker we can all find our people.

Sarah loves people, relationships and discussing all things motherhood. She’s always creating new content and is open to work with your group and take requests if there is a specific topic you would like her to speak into.
